East of the state of Maine, across the Bay of Fundy, lies a peninsula containing the Canadian province of Nova Scotia. This is part of the Maritimes. On its southwestern shore is an area called the Clare region. French is spoken here. This is where Louisiana Cajuns originated. With not a stripmall in sight and offering some of the best seafood available anywhere, a visit here is like stepping back to a better time. It is here that we plan to retire.
